According to the Hainan Provincial Department of Housing and Construction, Hainan will select several projects in the province's municipal infrastructure, public buildings, and residential construction projects as steel structure assembly pilot demonstration projects that require large-span buildings and a single area of more than 20,000 square meters. Public buildings such as steel are preferred. In the past two years, Hainan's prefabricated buildings have achieved rapid development. In 2018, the prefabricated building area determined by the province is 820,000 square meters, and by 2019, it is close to 4 million square meters.
