Notice On Matters Related to Lowering the Electricity Tariff of General Industry and Commerce in Shanghai

State Grid Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Company:         In accordance with the requirement of “the Notice of the National Development and Reform Commission on Adjustmentof VAT Tax Rate for Power Grid Enterprises and Corresponding Reduction of General Industrial and Commercial Electricity Tariff” (NDRC [2019] No. 559), and with the consent of Shanghai Municipal Government and submitted to the NationalDevelopment and Reform Commission for record, it has been decided that the price reduction funds formed by measures, suchas reducing VAT tax rate for power grid enterprises from 16% to 13%, shall be used to reduce electricity tariff of general industry and commerce. The notice is as follows:         1. The average electricity tariff of “general industry, commerce and others” is reduced by CNY 2.3 cents per kWh (includingtaxes), while the tariff of sewer power consumption remainsunchanged.         2. The above tariff adjustment shall take effect from May 1,2019.         3. Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Company shall implement, publicize and explain relevant policies.
